Today we wrote introductory paragraphs during Writer's Workshop! We took a look at some strong introductory paragraphs for various research projects, and discuss what makes these intros so captivating for the reader! We then got into collaborative groups to assist one another on our intros!
- I wrote a beginning to help the reader get interested in the topic
- I let the reader know about some subtopics they're going to be learning about
- I could use a question to engage the reader
- I could use an interesting fact to get the reader going
- I'm using adjectives and descriptions to keep the reader's attention
