Here are some things we did over the Conference Week:
Using decomposing to solve for the product of arrays (a strategy we're still continuing to practice on this week):
During our Writer Workshop sessions last week, we started to write informational guidebooks on a topic we know lots about! A handful of us wanted to continue our fictional stories, or write poems, and that's a-ok by me! A chance to write is a chance practicing writing! And you know what? What you're about to read is creativity at it's finest!
For reading, we've been working on the sketch and label strategy to clarify our understanding of the text, as well as to summarize/retell/rewrite the text in our own words!
We also been determining the traits of characters in stories, cartoons, etc. and making sure we have evidence for support!
| If you've never heard of the cartoon Clarence, you need to check it out! I love this cartoon so much because there are situations/themes within the episodes that I would consider "teachable moments!" |
Cheers, y'all!
