We talked a lot about explaining our thinking today; during math, I explained to the students that just showing an answer is not enough, and that showing one's thinking or the process behind the answer is just as equally as important as the answer! I modeled for students different ways to explain one's thinking to the answer, and set the expectation to explain one's thinking more often than not!
During reading today, we also discussed how to explain our thinking by using text codes when reading! We then used these text codes to find evidence in the text to support the theme of Ballad of Mulan!
We also proceeded to work on routines and procedures dealing having to do with the laptop cart!
We continued to work on speaking and listening skills with Me Bag presentations!
