We started the day out with Writer's Workshop! During this time, we brainstormed an issue at school in which we could persuade administration to look into! After we came decided on a school issue, we got into collaborative groups to come up with reasons/evidence and warrants/explanations for reason! It's better if I just show you:
During reading block today, we determined a character's point of view by referring back to the text, and we also gave our opinion/suggestion/advice to the characters in the story!
During math block, we explored patterns with the eights multiplication facts, and looked for, as well as made use of repeated reasoning!
We also learned a cool strategy (courtesy of Tommy Fries) on finding the products for the 9s multiplication facts! Here's a video to explain the strategy:
