We started the day out with Reading Block! During Reading Block, we delved into a piece of text from the non-fiction book, 100 Most Disgusting Things on the Planet, and discussed how to determine the main idea of the text, as well as how to annotate details within the text to support the main idea!

Afterwards, we delved into writing and focused on changing a very simple sentence, into a stronger sentence that details the action and setting, bit-by-bit! When we write super-strong sentences that details the action, feelings, and setting, it helps the reader make a mental movie of our writing!
I ran to my class.
Coming back from recess, we had a show and tell presentation. Prior to the presentation, I explained to the students that if anybody wants to do a presentation, that they may do so, as long as they ask me first, and provide a written speech for me beforehand!
Afterwards, we had a totally winning session on our laptops working on Lexia, and then we moved onto math! For math today, we just took notes on steps to solving a word problem! We will be utilizing these steps tomorrow when we tackle word problems!
We had fire drill right after lunch today, but many of us were not taking the fire drill seriously, so we had to skip PE in order to discuss why we do fire drills (to know what to do in a real emergency situation), how we should act during drills and emergency situations (act supportive/appropriately), and what the expectations are during these drills and emergency situations (follow directions, show support).

| The second time around, we made sure to walk in a single file line, mouths closed, hands to ourselves, and facing forward! |
| Not getting distracted bu other classes because we really need to have active listening for directions in situations such as a fire emergency! |
And that's a wrap up folks! Cheers, and have a good one!
